UX designer, Singapore

What you will be doing

MING Labs is looking for a UX Designer to join our Singapore studio. In this position, you’ll play an active role in collaborating with the UX Design team as well as building and cultivating client relationships. Within our interdisciplinary teams, you’ll be responsible for delivering user experiences that make users’ lives a little better. We appreciate designers who think deeply think deeply about people and processes, not just pixels, and embrace collaboration and feedback. If this sounds like you — amazing, we’d definitely like to hear from you!

Here are some of your main responsibilities:

Turn user problems in simple and functional UX solutions by executing the end-to-end UX Design process including business requirements analysis, strategic assessment, users’ analysis, desk and in-field research, synthesis, framework –e.g. personas, customer journeys, etc. concept ideation, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototyping, etc.

Work with other members of the design, development, and business design teams to create top-class user experiences on a variety of digital platforms and application from our clients, that are engaging, useful, and solution oriented.

Deliver user research, customer feedback, user testing, and usability findings to tailor your designs to the customer in order to best solve their problems.

Develop and prototype design solutions, not only to communicate ideas and concepts but to test with real customers to encourage collaboration and iterative processes.

Facilitate workshops with projects' stakeholders.

What we are looking for

3+ years as a practitioner in UX design with excellent communication skills.

A formal degree is not a requirement, however, we expect a solid understanding of the various UX design disciplines and the underlying theory in areas of interaction design, usability, psychology, visual and information design, information architecture and human factors.

Understanding of business requirements, user needs, and technical feasibility and experience running design research activities.

You have a proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from the development, business design, and project management teams.

You follow a customer-centric and insights-driven iterative design approach. With a portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating user-centered design solutions.

You have a proven ability in a variety of design tools such as Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite, among others.

Previous work experience with top-level digital agency preferred.
