(Senior) Project manager, Singapore

What you will be doing

MING Labs is looking for a (Senior) Project Manager to join our Singapore studio. As our (Senior) Project Manager, you will be involved in the whole life cycle of digital transformation projects, working together with stakeholders, business designers, UX/UI designers, developers and QA engineers. We expect you to have very good communication skills, solid knowledge and experience on Agile methodologies. Now that we’ve got the basics covered, here’s a list of your main responsibilities:

Project Initiation

You’ll take ownership of client relations and project initiation once agreements are signed, support the business development team in generating business opportunities and:

  • Help our clients to formulate their technical requirements.
  • Prepare project costs and time estimates with support from the team.
  • Support the creation of convincing proposals.
  • Plan resources.
  • Integrate freelance and remote developers into capacity planning.

Project Planning

You’ll take ownership for comprehensive, detailed and practical project planning, including:

  • Develop project management plan, collect detailed requirements and scope.
  • Create detailed user stories and backlogs for technical implementation projects.
  • Define and sequence project activities and estimate activity durations.
  • Plan and adjust resources according to detailed budget per project activity & deliverables.
  • Plan stakeholder management and develop communications management plan.
  • Identify project risks and perform qualitative risk analysis.

Project Execution

You’ll ensure smooth implementation of project plan and deliverables to clients.

  • Manage project work with teams, drive quality assurance.
  • Assign and monitor work of design personnel, ensuring that project steps are in alignment with business objectives, on-time and within budget.
  • Work closely with the design team and help them to understand the requirements.
  • Coordinate the resources of MING and clients to resolve project dependency and blocks.
  • Support the design team on discovery and validation decision making to match the business objective and budget.
  • Manage communications with and engagement of all stakeholders.
  • Ensure required monitoring & control, including project work, integrated change control, scope, schedule, costs, quality, stakeholder engagement and communications.
  • Execute agile process such as planning meeting, daily standup, sprint review etc.
  • Execute and refine company project management process.

Project Closure

You’ll facilitate learning and documentation and maintain lines of communication with external stakeholders.

  • Collect feedback from all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project retrospectives & documentation to drive individual and organizational learning.
  • Ensure proper handover of deliverables and deployments to client infrastructure.
What we are looking for

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

3+ years of project management experience on software design and development.

Good communication, organization, time-management and leadership skills.

Excellent English skills, both written and verbal.

Knowledge of Scrum with experience on management of software design and development projects, would be beneficial.
