UI Design Intern, Shanghai

What you will be doing

MING Labs is looking for creative and self-motivated interns to join our international Design team in our Shanghai studio. As our new UI design intern you'll be treated as full-time employees and you'll work together with our multidisciplinary teams in different projects. Unfortunately, for this internship position we are not able to sponsor a working visa.

The internships at MING Labs are paid and 6 months in duration in which time you'll have the opportunity to learn from more experienced designers and enhance your UI design skills.

Assist in the creation and refinement of UI elements for various digital products.

Work closely with the design team to ensure visual consistency and adherence to design best practices.

Participate in the development of user interfaces, focusing on usability and aesthetic appeal

Contribute to the production of high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.

Producing vector graphic assets such as icons and illustrations.

Collaborate with our front-end development team to ensure accurate translation of designs into functional user interfaces.

Producing reusable and scalable components for design systems.

Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in UI design.

What we are looking for

Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a program in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.

Have a strong portfolio with recent works that demonstrates good visual design skills

Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail.

Proficiency in design or collaboration tools such as Figma, Sketch, Miro, and Keynote.

Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript is a plus.

You are proficient in English. Chinese is a plus.

Familiarity with motion design and its application in UI is a plus.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Strong communication skills and ability to present design ideas clearly.

A proactive learner, open to feedback and personal growth.
