Business design intern, Munich

What you will be doing

MING Labs is looking for creative and self-motivated interns to join our international Design team in our Berlin or Munich studio.

As our new design intern you'll be treated as full-time employees and you'll work together with our multidisciplinary teams in different projects.

The internships at MING Labs are paid and usually have a duration between 4 - 6 months in which time you'll have the opportunity to learn from more experienced designers and enhance your design skills.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:

Support discovery and execution on all parts of the service design process: challenge framing, research (qual and quan), ideation, prototyping, testing and implementation.

Support with qualitative and quantitative research studies and help synthesising the output into: personas, customer journeys, insight-opportunity frameworks, value propositions, scenarios, etc. in order to identify or validate products / services opportunities.

Support trend analysis and competitor research in order to unlock business opportunities, develop relevant concepts, models and organizational frameworks to support our clients and drive innovation and business growth.

Support the design and testing of new products, services, or consumer experience.

What we are looking for

You are a passionate, detail oriented, self motivated and proactive service designer who enjoys either working in a team or independently in a variety of projects.

You are currently enrolled in, or graduate of a relevant strategic/service design Bachelor/Master’s program or/and you have a strong portfolio and experience.

You have knowledge and ideally, a first experience working with service design principles and skills including challenge framing, research, ideation, qualitative interviews and synthesizing into personas and journeys.

You have very good analytical skills. Good with induction and deduction.

You are passionate about user-centered design particularly as applied to web-based applications and consumer electronics.

You are proficient in English. German is a plus.

You are passionate about creating services that resonate emotionally with people.

You have great communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with different external and internal stakeholders.
